X guider provides you the easiest way to note your position. Simply pick up an icon from the list, mark it, you are done. On X Guider, you can mark up to about 300 points. To find your route back to the start point, pick up the destination from the list and the X Guider directs you with the direction and the approximate distance to destination. All you will have to do is to follow the prominent arrow on the screen.
The device features simple menu, two buttons but still quite a lot of features to look in,
Hardware
The GPS receiver chip fixed inside GPS back tracker takes not less than a minute to get a satellite fix after which it takes less than even a second for the GPS X Guider to track back where it is.
The GPS X Guider takes a weight, a little more than a feather and without AAA batteries, user rarely notice its presence. The batteries adding some weight to the device is actually good when holded. The batteries gives you a decent life, claiming 16 hours of straight use. You can always carry spare batteries with you.
The screen is not very satisfactory in appearance but does its job done without blowing away the power. Sunlight readable screen is appreciable and when the sun goes down, the Neo blue black light comes handy, making it a pleasure using the device.
A really durable silicon case of the GPS X Guider adapts tightly, making it IPX6 water resistant. To press the button with the case is still very easy. Lanyard and neck strap comes included with the case so as to easily attach them to put it around neck or backpack.
Software
The GPS X Guider has got an all-encompassing software letting you organize back tracing way point, logged tracks, theme destination and route plans. The window has got two panes displaying the options listed by the user on one side and live Google maps on the other side. Just like the way you would do with the browser, you can zoom, drag, take hybrid views, switch between maps, satellites and more with GPS X Guider. In case you are not satisfied with the software, never worry! You can always export your track backs to other formats that include GPX, KML and NMEA.
In case you are planning a trip, the software lets you name each place on your route so that users may make out the way point that have been headed. For more clearer understanding, lets say you call your way point like 1.car parking 2. scenic spot 3. trial head etc
Menus and options
The device has got a very simple interface that lets you navigate around pretty much easier. One of the screen displays the time that automatically sets with respect to your position and satellite time. Compass, smaller arrow pointing your destination and north pointing arrow, are displayed on the other screen. You can also find another screen which is actually a speedometer showing your way to destination. The actual guider will get you a giant arrow that points the way you have to head and the name of your next way point. Switching to the trip info screen details like distance, speed, altitude, odometer can be obtained.
Over all, like said before, GPS X Guider a small device packed with unlimited features.
