Recently there have been numerous reports of trucks and other HGV’s getting stuck in a narrow lane. When the drivers are questioned they say that they followed the sat nav instructions. Due to this a lot of money has been wasted in renovating and repairing the damaged structures and clearing of debris. These funds could have been put to some constructive use. Thus Navevo has introduced a sat nav; the Navevo ProNav PNN- 200 GPS System, that is specifically designed for HGV’s and trucks.
Navevo ProNav PNN- 200 GPS System for HGV’s comes with a wide 4.3-inch touch screen display with a screen resolution of 480×272 pixels. It comes with the street level mapping of UK and Ireland. It includes about 40000 points of interest and additional points of interest specifically drafted for HGV’s. These include loading bays, parking pips, PCN hotspots, HGV petrol stations and more. The PNN-200 allows drivers to enter the vital statistics of your vehicle including weight, length, width and height along with the type of goods the vehicle is carrying. Using this data the device calculates the best route to your destination. It also displays the obstacles such as the no HGV lanes, height restrictions, width restrictions and weight per axle permitted etc. that occur en-route.
Navevo ProNav PNN- 200 Portable GPS System works on a Windows CE 5.0 operating system and runs on Centrality processor clocked at 400MHz. It comes with a RAM memory of 64MB and a ROM memory of 64MB. This memory capacity can be increased using SD memory cards. A slot is provided for easy USB interface. The ProNav comes with an in-built internal antenna that is integrated with a Centrality Atlas III GPS receiver. It provides regular warning while navigating on steep hills or cross winds. It comes with a Bluetooth compatibility that permits handsfree calling and wireless transfer of data between similar devices.
For promotional purposes the Navevo ProNav PNN- 200 GPS System is providing a six month free safety camera alerts and complete map updates for the entire year of 2009.
