Generally when products are unveiled with additional as well as innovative features, it is sure to attract new buyers, specially if the features included were a long awaited ones. Here is such a GPS navigation system that has got viz a large wide screen, free traffic updates, blue tooth, movie player, calender, multi segment routing, photo viewer, calculator and at last, the lane guidance tool. Now with all these doesn’t you find it interesting to explore the GPS sat nav system?
Now, never mind if you miss to record MP3 songs to sat nav. With HD Radio, tune to your favorite station and listen to your favorite beats to make travel even more fun. The drawback is that, when the radio is turned on, you do not get any traffic updates since the traffic receiver itself function as Radio. Though the GPS sat nav holds features more than what users were longing, it actually failed fulfilling the basic concept, the ‘Simplicity’.
The primary map display has nearly about 19 map related data among which most of them were transparent and petite in size. From the driver’s point of view, it is very difficult to view the fields while driving. If you think that you can somehow manage with the help menus, they also put you down as it gets puzzled with grammatical errors. Another big limitation is the lack of Tele Atlas maps, without which route ETA value and route quality might perceptibly suffer. Cydle T43h will definitely be a hit for those who actually discover their journey at every detail.

Alpine NVE-M300P GPS Navigation System
February 1, 2010
While searching for a recently launched satellite navigation system in the market, I came across the new Alpine NVE-M300P GPS navigation system. Unlike the usual stand alone satellite navigation systems, Alpine NVE-M300P is designed to connect with an on-dash monitor or a media station. In other words, it is a GPS system with no monitor. You can connect it to any monitor, like the monitor of your music system in the car and then use it for navigation. If connected with the Alpine monitor, which is sold separately, you can use it with touch screen features. It provides a wide coverage across Europe, around 43 countries in Western and Eastern Europe. Besides a wide place coverage, it provides some handsome features as well.
Alpine NVE-M300P Sat Nav is a rectangular unit, with a dimension of 85mm x 25mm X 110mm and a weight of 265 grams. The CPU integrated into it is 600MHZ SiRF Titan processor and this makes the applications loaded faster. The GPS receiver too seems to receive signals faster, leaving no lag whilst calculating routes or re-routes. The system features a TMC tuner as well. Thus, you can have real-time traffic information, while on the move. Unfortunately, this service is not free in UK.
Alpine NVE-M300P guides you with turn-by-turn instructions and with street names spoken at each turn. The lane guidance ensures that you take the right turn every time. The maps can be viewed in both 2D as well as 3D perspective, and there is an option to zoom in and out for better visual. The destination search enabled in it is via the input of postal code. This GPS navigation system has a Track Log function, which tracks the roads you move. Safety camera database is loaded into it and the unit alerts you, when approaching one. You can import the data for points-of-interest, to guide you to near by hotels, theatres etcetera into this unit. The importing can be done to this GPS unit’s 4GB integrated flash memory via a USB.
Overall, Alpine NVE-M300P sat nav system comes with good features and equated performance. But the relevance of a GPS unit without a monitor is a thoughtful issue, especially when you need to purchase the company’s monitor to attach this.
