Garmin GPS 72 Hiking GPS Receiver has been designed using measurements like 6.9 x 3 x 15.7 cm as width, depth and height. The handy device weighs 454 grams. The device can receive signals from a maximum of 12 channels at the same time. You can keep the device in three distinct positions namely:

• 3 to 5 meters
• 3 meters
You can get the velocity up to 0.05 meter per second. The update rate is measured as one second. It has come with interfaces like NMEA 0183 and RTCM SC-104 DGPS. Built-in memory capacity of the device has limited up to 1 MB. Cold acquisition and warm acquisition time has measured as 45 seconds and 15 seconds respectively.
Garmin GPS 72 Hiking GPS Receiver can offer 500 way points, 2048 track log points, 50 routes, and 50 waypoints per route and trip computer. LCD technology based display has been embedded with the device with will offer resolution up to 120 x 160 pixels. Display illumination option with monochrome option is availed with the device. You can get power supply using AA type batteries internally. It will offer life to the device a maximum of 16 hours.
