Magellan has launched an easy to use navigational unit; the Magellan Roadmate 1215 Satellite Navigator that is light weight and comes with a quick spell functionality. The Magellan Roadmate 1215 In-Car Satellite Navigator comes with a 3.5-inch touch screen colour display that comes that has a screen resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and about 64000 colours. This sat nav comes with a height of 8.4 cm, a width of 9.2 cm, a thickness of 1.8 cm and a weight of 140 grams. This device is powered by a rechargeable lithium ion battery that has a battery life of around 3 hours. This gps unit comes with WAAS and EGNOS compatibility that provides you with accurate navigational data. This gps system has an internal in-built antenna that is integrated with a high sensitivity GPS receiver.
The Magellan Roadmate 1215 Portable Satellite Navigator includes the maps of 24 Western European countries and thousands of points of interest. With so many points of interest it is very convenient to locate the nearest airport or petrol station. It offers the Postcode Search Facility for locating an address. You can also locate an address using the street or suburb name. While using the suburb name in case you happen to misspell any word then Magellan’s QuickSpell function automatically corrects it. It provides accurate route guidance along with regular and time to time voice instructions. You can now concentrate on the road better; this is because the unit reads out the road names and junctions as and when they appear. In case of any kind of road blocks or congestions; the device immediately recalculates an alternative route and diverts you to your destination through an optional path. Re-routing is also done in case you detour or miss any lane or turn. This user friendly pocket sized satellite navigator however is an entry level gizmo that does not provide you with Bluetooth compatibility, FM transmitter, music player or real time traffic information. This is an ideal device for everyone who would want a user friendly strictly navigational unit.
