Following the league of connected GPS systems, Medion has designed the Medion GoPal P4635 Satellite Navigator. It functions on the Windows platform and works on the Samsung processor clocked at 400 MHz. Its 128MB RAM and 1GB flash ROM memory can be increased using an external SD/SDHC memory cards. This Medion GoPal P4635 In-Car Satellite Navigator features a 4.3 inch touch screen display for viewing the navigational information. Some other premium features provided by this unit include voice control, the SiRFInstantFix II technology and more. The SiRFInstantFix II technology helps in faster signal acquisition.
Medion GoPal P4635 Satellite Navigator is equipped with the maps of 43 European countries for accurate navigational assistance. It consists of an in-built GSM module that offers intelligent traffic and dynamic information. Navigational assistance is provided by the Medion GoPal Navigator AE5 Navigation software. The driver can control and operate the unit with voice commands; this helps to drive safely by concentrating on the road better. Its lane assistance option is capable of guiding a user through the correct lane on highways. The intelligent routing ability will compute the most favourable route for the user. Visual directions are followed by regular voice instructions via the text-to-speech function. Timely assistance is provided in tunnels as well.
Medion GoPal P4635 Portable Satellite Navigator is capable of providing timely speed alerts preventing a user from being pulled over for speeding reasons. The device provides weather updates, fuel prices, traffic updates, parking spot availability (fuel and parking info is available currently only in Germany Switzerland and Austria). One major disadvantage of this unit is probably the lack of a Bluetooth module, however the other features make up for the absence of Bluetooth. This satnav unit includes one year of GSM service (for Live updates) after which one can get access by paying an additional 4.95euros a month or 49.95euros for annual subscription.
