Lane assistance and speed assistance are also provided by this navigator. The next maneuver on your way is clearly indicated on the screen too. Get prior warning about traffic jams or other road obstructions in your path ahead as well, with the TMC feature housed in the device. Detour information is provided too, to enable you to get to your destination faster. You can view more of the way ahead, on the screen, by holding the device in a vertical position. While holding it in the horizontal position helps you see the normal view, which is more comfortable to the eye. About 2 million Points of Interest have been provided with the device and you also get the distances of the ones that lie in your path from your current location. You have the option of choosing these POIs as intermediate destinations as well. Thus making dynamic planning of route, easy. With the Logbook feature of the sat-nav, you can enter re-fueling information and other required details, which can later be transferred onto an Excel sheet too. Pin code protection is also provided to keep the device and its contents, safe. Deceive speed cameras as well, with the prior warnings given by this navigator, on speed camera locations. The other features of the sat-nav include automatic volume regulation, 2-D and 3-D map views, Day and Night modes, pre-installed maps of UK, Ireland and west European countries and route options like Optimum Route, Scenic Route or Fastest and Shortest Route.
All these exciting features come enclosed in a stylish glossy case. This device can be mounted on a stand that comes along with it, in your car. The technical functionality and processing of the unit are accomplished by a SIRF Star III GPS receiver and a Samsung 400MHz processor. Being light and compact, it can also be carried in your pocket, while traveling by foot.
