The Lane Assistant Pro feature, gives timely help to choose the right lane, at multi-lane junctions. You also get announcements regarding distances, names of roads and exits, with the Text-to-speech feature. Avoid traffic jams or road construction sites and take a detour, with the Premium TMC that comes integrated with the car charger. An added advantage here is that you need to deal with lesser number of cables, thus, lessening up some confusion too. Running out of petrol will not be a cause of worry anymore, as this partner gives you the location of the nearest petrol bunk. Emergency help is also provided to locate pharmacies, hospitals and police stations. Its Blue Tooth Hands-Free Capability, allows linking your mobile phone to the navigator and viewing a larger display to make your phone calls. You can transfer addresses from your computer to the GPS as well, with the Navigon Sync facility. The device, keeps a check on your speed too, and alerts you when speed limits are exceeded. The 4.3” Smart display widescreen, does a great job of displaying maps and views. The highlight here, is the large screen, with thin framed sides, to allow you to view more. The internal functionality of the unit is taken care of by a 600MHz processor and the SiRF Titan GPS receiver. A lithium rechargeable battery powers up the device and keeps it going for several hours. Regular updates are also made available by the Navigon Fresh online services.
