NDrive, one of the first companies to incorporate a breath-analyser into its sat nav has now come up with the new NDrive Touch GPS System. This one is about 40% lighter and slimmer than the older models. The Ndrive Touch In-Car GPS System measures 98 x 78 x 13 mm and weighs 110 grams. It includes a 64MB RAM and a 64MB flash memory and a socket for connecting external memory cards. Navigational information is displayed on a 3.5-inch, 320×240 pixel touch screen display. Windows CE.Net 5.0 is the operating system and Atlas III is the device’s processor that is clocked at 372MHz. The unit runs on a rechargeable battery that provides a 3-4 hour battery life.
Ndrive Touch GPS System includes the mapping information of Western Europe along with many points of interests. The major buildings and landmarks are displayed in 3D forms. The points of interests come with a detailed description, useful for first time visitors. Its search facility is expected to be almost 60% faster while its route recalculation is estimated as being 2 time faster as compared to the other models. Route recalculation is done in case you get deviated from your original planned route. The recalculated route will guide you back on track in a matter of seconds. It includes a light sensor, which controls the screen brightness. The Gesture recognition function is an exclusive one, that allows the user to control 3D photo navigation.
The NDrive Touch Portable GPS System allows you to import and export your favourites using Google maps. Finally, it is reported to support 32GB SDHC card, hence providing you with enough memory capacity. The complete kit consists of an NDrive Touch unit, a windshield mount a USB cable, a car charger and an instruction manual.
