RAC 210 Sat Nav System is the latest navigation system from RAC meant exclusively for motor vehicle drivers. This model offers high end features so as to ensure smooth navigation during driving. Both 2D and 3D mapping are supported by the equipment. The fast and powerful ARM 400MHz processor is used in the device. It encapsulates Sirf Star 3 high sensitivity GPS receiver that can provide the users with images of exceptional quality. It features a high resolution 4″ LCD widescreen. It is based on touch screen operation.
The interface between the hardware and the software used in this model is Microsoft WinCE.NET 4.2 core version operating system with the memory support given by 64 MB SDRAM memory, providing high performance. The memory is expandable using memory cards.
Softwares included in this RAC satellite navigation system are designed to provide step by step voice instructions with built in speakers, thousands of searchable points of interest (America and Europe), favourite addresses and locations, simple menu icons, route planning with estimated time of arrival and distance remaining, pre-loaded 256mb MMC card with UK & Ireland maps, address or 7 digit postcode search facility, simple Address search using SMS style Fuzzy Search and so on. It is easy to search the address with the SMS style Fuzzy Search. It supports route planning displaying the estimated time and distance left to reach a particular destination.
Built on dimensions of 114mm x 74mm x 22mm, the device weighs approximately 390g. The technology used for transferring data to and from any computer is USB 1.1. It also offers Auto re-routing, Night-view mode, fixed safety camera alerts, quickest and shortest routes and Simple tracking mode.
