The Clarion MAX983HD Satellite Navigator is a combination of high performance navigational functionalities and high end video and audio applications. It consists of a motorised sloping control panel for easy selection of options. A large 7-inch touch screen QVGA TFT colour monitor is provided for viewing navigational information. The system works on a processor clocked at 400MHz. This Clarion MAX983HD Automotive Satellite Navigational System includes a 40GB hard disk drive with an included TMC module. The navigational updates can be done via the system’s in-built SD card reader. It consists of one AV input and I video output and 2-channel audio output. A microphone has been incorporated for voice recognition purposes.
The Clarion MAX983HD Satellite Navigator includes the Navteq maps of 33 European countries along with a rich POI database. Visual route guidance is combined with timely voice instructions enabling you to concentrate on the road better. The TMC module provides updated traffic info on real-time basis, and in case of traffic congestions carves out an alternative route. It also notifies about the speed limit of the area and alerts you on exceeding it. This built-in navigational unit allows you to link a CCD camera with it. This linked CCD camera can be connected to the rear of the vehicle providing with assistance during reversing.
Clarion MAX983HD Integrated Satellite Navigator is equipped with an in-built MP3, CD/DVD player and a radio tuner. Thus now you can tune into your favourite radio stations, listen to special music tracks as well as watch movies while the device is not being used in the navigational mode. You can even connect your iPod to this system via an optional cable. It also has the facility to connect an optional Bluetooth interface adapter so that you can make hands free calls while driving.
