Following the footsteps of TomTom Rider and Garmin Zumo series, Danew has launched the Danew E 135 Satellite Navigator that is especially designed for bikers. It is said to function on a Windows CE .Net 5.0 operating system and runs on a Samsung S3C2416 processor clocked at 400MHz. This Danew E 135 Bikers Satellite Navigator measures 105 x 82 x 26.5 mm in dimensions and weighs just about 127 grams. It is easy and simple to use and comes with shock and vibration resistance. A 3.5-inch anti-glare touch screen display has been provided for viewing the navigational data. It has a 64MB/2GB of internal memory that can be increased using external microSD memory cards.
Danew E 135 Satellite Navigator comes preloaded with the maps of France, Europe and several points of interests. With the help of these maps, the device can accurately guide you from A to B with maximum ease and comfort. The unit is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that has a total life of 3 hours. It is also waterproof with the IPX7 standard that allows the unit to be immersed in 1m water for 30 mins. Along with the navigational assistance, this one can function as a multimedia player with its in-built MP3 and video player and a photo viewer. Additionally, the unit includes a Digital Compass that acts as a sensor for detecting the direction in which the vehicle is heading.
Danew E 135 Portable Outdoor Satellite Navigator is integrated with a Broadcom BCM4750 GPS chipset for faster signal acquisition. Also it has Bluetooth connectivity that enables a user to make and receive calls while on the go. It is supplied along with a USB cable, a charger, a CD-ROM with the software and a quick start-up guide. Expected to hit the stores in September 2009, this 2-wheeler satnav is reportedly priced at €279.
