This Magellan Roadmate 1340 In-Car Satellite Navigator measures 7.9 x 9.3 x 1.8 cm and weighs about 139 grams. It features a 3.5-inch screen for viewing navigational map data. This screen automatically switches between day and night mode as and when the surroundings change. It runs on a rechargeable battery that has a battery life of up to 3 hours. A microSD card interface is provided for increasing the device’s internal memory. Also it provides a GPS accuracy of up-to 3-5 feet using WAAS compatibility.
The Magellan Roadmate 1340 Satellite Navigator comes with pre-loaded maps of United States, Canada and Puerto Rico along with millions of points of interest. This makes it simple to find an ATM, a coffee shop, restaurants, gas stations, etc. Planning your route is as simple as touching the destination on your map, it will directly generate a route. It includes a OneTouch favourite menu that provides direct access to your customised places or restaurants. It is integrated with an AAA TourBook, that provides ratings and descriptions of all AAA approved places to stay and dine. This also includes a AAA Member Roadside Assistance, that connects you to a toll-free number to aid you in finding an AAA approved repair shop. A Lane Assist functionality guides you to take the right lane on a highway or multiple lane junction.
Magellan Roadmate 1340 Portable Satellite Navigator comes with optional Traffic Link accessory that provides real time traffic notifications. Its text-to-speech feature reads out the names of roads and junctions as and when they appear of screen, providing you better control of the wheel. The complete kit consists of a RoadMate 1340 GPS receiver, a windshield mount, an adhesive disc for dash mounting, a vehicle power adapter, a USB cable and an instruction manual.
