Magellan has introduced three new models to the Roadmate series, Roadmate 1340, Roadmate 1440 and Roadmate 1470. all of them offer feature the award winning One Touch Interface along with the AAA TourBook options. The Magellan Roadmate 1470 In-Car Satellite Navigator measures about 8.45 x 13.2 x 1.8cm in dimension and weighs about 283 grams. It’s outer case is made of high-impact plastic and it comes preloaded with the maps of United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. The navigational data can be viewed clearly of the device’s large 4.7-inch screen. The device is compatible with microSD memory cards that can be used to increase the device’s internal memory. Its rechargeable battery last for a maximum of 3 hours.
Magellan Roadmate 1470 Satellite Navigator includes an AAA TourBook that provides you complete information and ratings about the AAA aproved places to stay, visit and dine. The OneTouch feature provides you instant access to the favourites menu, which includes a list of your personalised places, searches, POIs, etc. Its Highway Lane Assist functionality aids you in getting onto the right lane on a highway or a multiple lane route. The device can read out the name of streets as well as provide you timely voice prompts as and when required. You can also plan your trips with multiple stopovers. Planning a route is as simple as touching the destination on the map. In case you get deviated from the original path, the device automatically re-routes you back on track.
Magellan Roadmate 1470 Portable Satellite Navigator is priced at $249.99 and is accompanied by some basic accessories such as a windshield mount, a car adapter, a USB cable and an instruction manual.
