Motorola Motonav TN550 Personal Navigation Device comes with a 4.3 inches wide-screen display of resolution 480 X 270 pixels. This GPS unit has a dimension of 114.2mm X 77.5mm X 14.65mm and weighs around 165 grams. It employs a candybar design and it is easy to carry. The display is multi-view, that is, contacts, maps, phone books or routes are all available side by, so that any information can be obtained at a single tap.
The search in Motonav TN500 Touch Screen Sat Nav is quick and effective, be it a destination search or search for information. There is voice recognition feature enabled for the menu. Hence, you can select the menu by just pronouncing the term. The database of points-of-interest stored in it allows you to easily navigate to the nearby place of interest including hotels, restaurants, theatres and so on.
Real-time traffic information could be obtained to know what lies ahead of you. But this requires subscription after the first 90 days of trial period. Similarly, you can obtain real-time information on flight status, fuel prices, safety camera alerts and weather updates. Any information can be searched via the Google search, which is also a paid service after the 90 days trial period. The text entry can be done using its QWERTY keyboard.
This Motorola sat nav is compatible with any bluetooth enabled phone and it has a speaker phone. This allows you to have handsfree calls, while on the move. The battery employed in it is 1100mAh Lithium ion and it provides a continuous usage time of 2.5 hours. The memory of this device is 128MB and you can expand it further up to 2GB using a microSD memory card.
