Motorola is all set to sprint in the satellite navigation market with their latest Motonav TN500 and TN700 series of sat navs. Motonav TN555 is a member of Motonav TN500 series. Housed with innumerable, handsome features including spoken directions, lane assistance, voice recognition, hands-free calls, easy search, bluetooth and more, Motonav TN555 is ready to pamper you with a smooth journey.
Motorola Motonav TN555 GPS Navigation System comes with a 4.3 inches wide-screen display of resolution 480 X 272 pixels. As the display is multi-view interfaced, you can find multiple information faster and return to the map at a single touch. With a dimension of 114.2mm X 77.35mm X 14.65mm, this personal navigation device is quite handy to carry around. Motonav TN555 has nothing prominent in its design. It employs the normal, plain candybar shape, and the overall weight of this satellite navigation device is 165grams.
Motonav TN555 employs an easy search feature and any information can be availed quickly. This GPS system comes loaded with the maps of Western Europe and UK. The voice recognition feature of TN555 enables you to surf through its menu using your voice. There is an impressive list of points-of-interest loaded into it, which enables you to navigate easily to the near by hotels, theatres, ATMs and so on. The data bases are loaded on to its 128MB internal memory and the 2GB external memory (removable).
You can make hands-free calling using Motonav TN555′s bluetooth connection and speakerphone. Google local search is available in it. But it requires a subscription after the initial 90 days trial. You can get live traffic information while on the move with this Motorola sat nav. But even this service needs a subscription. Besides, Motonav TN555 comes with some extra services, termed as ‘Motoextra Services’. These include flight status, fuel prices, safety camera alerts and weather updates. Similar to the traffic alerts and the Google Local search, these too require a subscription after their 90 days trial period.
The keyboard employed in Motonav TN555 Bluetooth GPS is full QWERTY and it provides you with an easy input of the texts. Although, Motonav TN555 comes with plenty of attractive features, its low battery life will be a little disappointing. The 1100mAh Lithium ion battery of the TN555 can offer you only 2.5 hours of life, which is comparatively lesser. But in other terms, Motorola Motonav TN555 is a strong competitor, even to the established brands of the satellite navigation systems in the market.
