Although Navigon has left the American navigation market, it has made its presence felt in the European continent with its Navigon 7310 Satellite Navigator. This compact sat nav measures about 115.6 mm x 74.8 mm x 18.7 mm in dimensions and weighs about 180 grams. The navigational information can be viewed on the device’s 4.3-inch touch screen display. The Navigon 7310 Automotive Satellite Navigator works on Windows CE operating system with a Centrality Titan 1 processor clocked at 600 MHz. It has a ROM memory of 4GB and a 128MB RAM memory. It comes preloaded with the maps of 40 European countries.
Navigon 7310 Satellite Navigator displays the cities in 3-dimensional formats with building situated by the roadsides. This offers you with a better orientation and overview of the route. The major landmarks are also displayed in 3D formats. It comes with an advanced Voice Recognition functionality that allows you to control the unit with the help of voice commands. This provides you with better control and concentration over the road. It ensures that you are always using the best possible route, it recommends the best route as adapted to your driving style. Furthermore, on highways or multiple lane junctions, the unit guides you through the correct lane with the help of the Lane Assist functionality.
Navigon 7310 Hand-held Satellite Navigator comes with TMC routing info facility that alerts you about the traffic congestions occurring en-route. In case of traffic congestions, it will provide you with an alternative route along with the distance data and arrival time. The choice is however left to you as to which route you would like to take. Finally, its Bluetooth compatibility allows you to make and receive hands free calls.
