A TomTom report based on its live traffic service, HD Traffic, says that three hundred and eighty eight traffic jams were caused on the major roads in the worst snow for 13 years. This was reported earlier today.
HD Traffic is TomTom’s live traffic service that is updated in a three minute basis. It reported 1086 miles of traffic on major roads at 8.28 am, with the longest queue being 32 miles on the M25 that runs between J8 Reigate and J19 Watford, at 7.30 am.
TomTom further stated that delays on the M27 at 8.02 am of an hour and 27 minutes between junction 11 at Farhem and the interchange M3, made it the longest jams in terms of waiting time.
This service of TomTom, better called High Definition Traffic is available on all the satellite navigation units coming under the TomTom Go Live range of sat nav devices.
