Blaupunkt has unveiledĀ a new display system, ‘Dual View’ that lets user to view two different images from the same screen, at the same time, depending upon the angle they view. Which means the driver and the front passenger can see two distinct pictures when looking into the same display. A device that can be possibly used both to see entertainment programmes as well as sat nav systems when viewed from passenger seat and driver seat respectively.

The working of the Dual View device goes like this, depending upon the viewing angle, the built in mask shows only the pixel columns exclusive for right or left picture, enabling two separate images to appear on the same screen on the same time. As on date most of the in car entertainment devices stops playing motion picture when vehicle is moving. The all new Blaupunkt system finds a solution to the problem, for it allows the passengers to watch an uninterrupted continuous motion images while at the same time lets the driver to concentrate only on the road using the satellite navigation.
It is been expected that the model is about to be produced by next year and will be first introduced in high end car models, BMW 7 series .
