Ford Ford introduces new security features to its SYNC systemFord Motor Company has announced that it is providing security features to protect personal information of millions of vehicle owners from the menace of computer virus and hackers. The advanced features are planned to protect the popular SYNC system of the company, which lets the owners to associate Bluetooth enabled mobile phones and digital media players  to the entertainment system of their vehicle.

Cell phones are also an access to a number of ‘cloud’ services via traffic of SYNC, TDI applications that offers  business searches, turn by turn navigation and other facilities. The latest industrial data depicted that about 11 million or more people in USA were fooled by fraudulent accounts that were opened via mobile phone technology.

With the launch of MyFord Touch for the year 2011, the firm is adding WiFi ‘hot spot’ broadcasting via SYNC making use of USB-connected broadband modem. Ford, for both firewall network and vehicle has built a firewall in order to prevent unauthorized access to users accounts.
