fTech, the leading radio frequency system integration company has launched a new Solar Powered GPS receiver. This GPS Receiver comes with a rechargeable battery and the attached solar panel just extends the life of it. The company claims it to last up to 30 hours, when the solar panel is activated.
Ftech Solar Powered Bluetooth GPS Receiver is capable to operate indoors, where it can track GPS signals down to -158dBm. The reacquisition time of the device is less than one second, which enables it to fix position faster. The LED indicator of this GPS receiver displays a red light, if the position is fixed. The connection is display with blue light. The battery life of this GPS unit without the solar power is around 20 hours.
Furthermore, this Blutooth GPS receiver features 51 channel MediaTek receiver, 1Hz max update frequency and 45mA power consumption. The price of it is not known and more information on the product could be known from the manufacturer’s website.
