Garmin has announced the echo series that lifts up the standard for fresh water sonar performance and ease of use. The 8 level grayscale unit is updated with Garmin HD ID target tracking technology, delivering a result and definition most of the fisherman were expecting. Garmin’s vice president of worldwide sales, Dan Bartel said that they have enhanced the power and improved the performance so that users can figure on clear, concise bottom tracking and fish targeting.
Features of the echo 550C includes 640×480 pixel 5 inch VGA screen with an ultra sharp video quality, splendid fish arch display, powerful 500-watt sonar transmitter and bottom tracking up to about 1900 feet deep. Garmin had also released echo 300c for the fisherman on budget and three further models with grayscale display viz echo 200, echo 150 and echo 100. The three grayscale models differ from each other in the depth of scanning the water and screen size.
