laser-target-locator-module GPS Powered Target Locator to Aid US ArmyA new target locator, powered using GPS is under construction for US Army. It will enable them to identify targets accurately, irrespective of the weather conditions. It can fix locations even during nights.

Dubbed as Laser Target Locator Module (LTLM), it works using direct-view optic system, night vision camera, laser range finder, digital compass and GPS receiver. This laser target locator system is light weight with 5.5 pounds and is obviously handheld.

British BAE System is in-charge of its manufacture and it is said that they have received around $42 million for the purpose.
