Lok8u, a manufacturer of location-based safety solutions, has introduced a GPS-enabled watch designed for elders. Dubbed as Multi-M8 GPS Watch, it can pin-point the precise location of a wearer within 10 feet.
Multi-M8 aims at the adults who work alone, the people who suffer from serious health problems such as Alzheimer’s, and the sports people who finds it difficult to carry a mobile phone. The company claims this GPS tracking device to be of great assistance to the family members of Alzheimer’s patients, who show a characteristic to wander without their knowledge. As designed for adults, Multi-M8 GPS tracking Watch comes with a LCD display compatible for messaging, an emergency button to call for help and a voice recorder.
Multi-M8 was showcased at the recent CES 2010 show at Las Vegas. It will be available in stores by summer 2010.
