Siano Mobile Silicon, who develops silicon receivers for Mobile Digital TV market announced that the popular PND makers including Garmin, Navigon, Mio and others will integrate Siano’s MDTV receiver chips into their upcoming GPS products.

This new development will enable Mobile Digital TV Service to the satellite navigation systems. The chips offer crystal clear reception in urban places, even while travelling faster. Television programmes from major television channels will be available through it. The service will be offered for free-of-cost.

With large screens and graphics, GPS Navigation system is the best medium to roll out Mobile TV. This may also help GPS system manufacturers to maintain their competitive edge in the market. This latest MDTV innovations will be exhibited at the upcoming CES Exhibition in LAS Vegas.
