Selby experiences satellite navigation misguidance

Satnasatellite navigation 300x220 Selby experiences satellite navigation misguidancev users are being misguided when they are trying to find their way to the Selby Boat Centre. The users mistakenly end up at builders’ merchants Jewson half-a-mile on an industrial estate.

According to the boat centre’s website, they have a number of new customers who end up down the road at Jewson’s builders’ merchants by following their sat navs.

The boat centre’s website also explains that there is an issue with the postcode location and the current software.

The Selby Boat Centre owner also said that the same issue arose when Google Maps were used.

Postcode seems to be the root of the problem, which is same for Jewson’s and the boat centre even though these two locations are almost half a mile away aside the road and the software used by the electronic mapping systems and satnavs.
