TomTom’s Executive Vice-President Alex Batchelor Quits

His responsibilities included internationally managing the satnav brand. He had joined the Dutch based company in July 2008. With his family and home based in UK, he was said to be working in Amsterdam for four days a week.

According to a spokesperson for TomTom’s Europen head office in Amsterdam, his departure was by mutual decision. Apparently, TomTom is in talks with a number of candidates to replace Alex Batchelor as head of marketing.

Prior to joining TomTom, Batchelor was the marketing director at Royal Mail since 2005. He is also reported to having held senior marketing positions at Unilever and Orange.
