Vexia, the Spanish GPS giant has unveiled their new range of satellite navigation systems. Dubbed as Vexia Econav Series 80, this new range of GPS Navs are sleeker, but comes with high-end features. It comprises of two top models, Vexia EcoNav 480 and Vexia Econav 380.
Vexia EcoNav 380 Sat Nav, which is the basic GPS navigation system in this series features a 3.5 inches display of resolution 320 X 240 pixels. It comes with 500MHz dual core processor and SiRF Atlas IV GPS receiver. The battery life of it extends for a period of four hours. The higher model, Vexia EcoNav 480 Sat Nav comes with 2GB on-board memory, which is expandable using a microSD memory card. It features a 4.3 inches display with 480 x 272 pixels and has a light sensor for energy saving. Other specifications are similar to the EcoNav 380 model.
Besides the usual functions such as lane assistance, text-to-speech facility and realistic road signs, Vexia EcoNav series GPS Systems incorporates some fuel saving functions. An interesting feature called Eco-Front Passenger is integrated into it that aids the drivers to drive more efficiently depending on the type of the car. There is a Penalty Point System that offers the drivers with real-time information on the speed limit exceeding and the points lost through it. Moreover, the EcoNav Report system allows the users to analyse the fuel savings by day, week or fortnight.
Vexia EcoNav 480 sat nav has been priced at £200 or £230, depending on the type of the map installed in it. Similarly, Vexia EcoNav 380 sat nav has been priced at £160 or £190.
