It weighs 390 grams. This sat nav has an external memory slot, USB slot, a 3.5mm mini jack for stereo, power charge jack and a jack for connecting external antenna. Shinco GM408 Satellite Navigator uses a Windows CE .Net 4.2 Operating System with an ARM9 400MHz processor. It is integrated with a Sirf Star III High Sensitivity GPS Receiver. It has an in-built SDRAM memory of 64MB, and is compatible with SD memory cards. It uses a built-in Lithium battery with a battery life of up-to 3 hours.
Shinco GM408 Satellite Navigator has maps of UK and Ireland, pre-loaded in the system along with 65000 POIs. It offers a seven character Post code Search facility as well. It provides street maps for entire Western Europe from NavteQ. It provides 2D and 3D map view facilities. Shinco GM408 Satellite Navigator uses a Destinator 6.0 software, which provides users with clear maps and timely instructions, and assists users with quicker route calculation, cross-border navigation, as well as pedestrian navigation.
A special feature of Shinco GM408 Satellite Navigator is its capablity to play MP4 movies. It has a built-in MP3 player for playing music files. It has a voice integrated system, which gives Navigation Instructions, and Congestion and Toll Warnings.

Shinco GM408 Satellite Navigator comes with a wide-screen suction mount, a car adapter, a 12V cigar lighter socket, USB cable, carry case and a user manual.
