VDO Dayton PN4000 satellite navigator provides guidance with a smart combination of pictorial and voice signals. Integrated with a TMC receiver, this device also warns you about any hindrances on the route ahead, thus helping you to plan a detour, to reach your destination faster. A variety of route criteria options are offered to avoid highways, toll gates or ferry and get the fastest, shortest and the most economical way out. Lane guidance and “turn now” signals are also provided when necessary. Automatic and manual zoom options help you view the pictorial representation of the places in 2D or 3D formats. Both multi-language menu and voice signals are supported by the navigator. Being compatible with RC 5100 steering wheel remote control, it can be used for guidance in the car or outside too.

This portable device measures 125mm x 83mm x 24mm and weighs 260g. It is powered by Lithium rechargeable batteries. The blue tooth support provided, makes way for data exchange. SD-Card support of up to 2 GB is also available. The 4.3″ anti-glare, LCD colour screen which is touch sensitive, features an Info bar that shows date, time estimations, speed limits, battery status and TMC status. The screen has an automatic brightness control feature too. This device also supports MP3 for listening to music, JPEG viewer to view photos, games, Teletext and a DVB-T tuner to watch TV. The TV mode automatically deactivates when moving, so the driver can lend his whole concentration solely to driving. However, the optional rear seat cradle allows the others to continue watching TV even while moving.
